Evaluation Question 3) What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

What have I learnt from my Audience feedback?

The audience feedback that I recieved was very helpful it enabled me to recieve consturctive critisism. It helped me to realize parts of my piece that didnt make sense or scenes that were not good from a different perspective, because I knew what my media product was about so I understood the storyline, to me it made sence however when our media product was shown to an audience we recieved feedback saying that our product in some places did not make sense the feedback we recieved gave my group alternative ways and options we could do to make sure our media product definatly made sense.
The reason that our audience feedback was so helpful was because the age groups that watched our piece and offered feedback were the target audience our piece was aimed towards so we needed to apply what our feedback told us to our piece to ensure it attracts our target audience.
We were given two different opportunities to recieve feedback the first time was when was had created a first rough cut of our soap opera trailer. I personally felt that this was the most effective and useful feedback we recieved when we shew our product to our class which was the age group our target audience would be we recived feedback that told us that our product did not make sense. We were told that because of a characters scene it confused them so we took on board this feedback and made a huge change to our peice where we cut out a whole characters scene to try and ensure that our peice made sense. This was the main negative feedback that we had from our first rough cut, this was helpful and we also learnt different ways we could address the characters in our soap opera trailer and different techniques we could use within in. We took on board all comments from the feedback we recieved and tried our best to apply them to our rough cut 2 in whcih we once again shew to our class to recieve feedback on.
The feedback we recieved from this rough cut was mainly postitive the class enjoyed our piece and commented that it flowed nicely and now due to the changes made makes sense to the audience. We were told in this feedback that during our slideshow of pictures/montage the picture lengths were not continous this was very helpful as a group we did not realize this and without being given the opportuinity to recieve feedback we probably would not have realized this at all.
As a group we learnt alot from our feedback it taught us ways in which we can improve our piece and ways we can ensure to definatly hit the target audience we are aiming for, the feedback also gave us new ideas on what we could add to our soap opera trailer and different ways we could introduce characters and other options we could use for different areas of the product. Looking back at our first rough cut compared to our final piece it has changed alot and definatly for the better this is due to what we were taught and what we learnt from the feedback we recieved. The feedback helped us to create a better flowing and easier to understand soap opera trailer.
